Multi coloured glass Bird hanging on a copper wire twig, these are made using the copper foil technique which is used when making smaller stained glass items each piece of glass is carefully cut and the edges smoothed, wrapped with a specialist copper tape and then soldered together. The twigs are made using copper wire and also soldered together before join the whole item together, it is then all turned black using patina and polished to give a lovely shine. They can be hung indoors or outside in a safe not too windy place!
